Lake Merced - Never Fish Here Alone

Man, sorry to hear that...  We had some thieves in my condo complex last year doing basically the same thing.  They would look for easy to grab stuff within reach of the window.  Most alarms don't go off for a broken window so if they just reach in and don't open the door, no alarm.

Yeah, standard issue gear for the type of swimming I do.  If the thief is using it I hope my crabs are giving the guy the karmic pinch he deserves.     hahaha.  Maybe I should've filed this under Halloween crabbing.     j/k (about the crabs)

Thieves are the worst! Hate to hear about this kinda stuff happening.

In the end though, their lives are screwed.

im not a big fan of merced either...tryed there with a buddy a couple weeks ago and it was DEAD.trolled and baited for nothing .didnt even see a rise and had very few marks on the finder.
i was amazed how shallow that place is ....i dont think i found one spot deeper than 18'.
sorry to hear about the ride.......sounds like chabot would be a better bet for a semi-local small lake........a lot more fish to......huge plants there lately.

Did you park on the grass by the launch? Its be a longer walk but it might be safer by the bait-shop or clubhouse.
They used to stock it with jumbo-sized planters, and used to charge a day-fee because of it but Ive come home with BIG limits before. My only trout over 5 Lbs was out of there. From shore in my pre-yak days...

That's the one thing that scares me about seeing someone breaking into a car. If they locked themselves out of their own car I am afraid they might get a facefull of knuckles before I found out it was theirs. I f***ing HATE thieves.

Sorry to hear  that you got burglarized. My son had some idiot friends that invited people over to the house for a get togther and few guest not familiar to the group. They stole credit cards and my wifes wedding ring...that sucks. Unbelieveable but my son new who to go after in general......6months later ring was recovered. Moral to the story...dont give the the thieves the opportunity anytime, anywhere.

Sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident Martin.  I offer no words of encouragement because there isn't much that can ease the pain.

I've been fortunate enough to never have been hit.  My time is probably coming.
