Good day at Mendo with the son. Started out with "NO" action what so ever. It was very cold and I forgot to bring my sweater. Luckily the son had his, otherwise we would have been off the lake earlier with as cold as he gets. Went across the lake for a change of pace. Before we would always get hits running along the "No Wade Buoy's" running from north to south. The water is still pretty clear. On the way over the son got a real nice SMB. After that we did some more cruising. I dropped my line and had the "BIGGEST" bird nest ever, and at that time I got a hit. He ran to the end of the nest. I had to hold the line with one hand and work on the nest with the other!!! I finally got it undone and landed a nice 29" The stink is gone! In fact, I landed another nice one. That one was about 22" The son also got two. Forgot to get the measure them. I forgot to throw in the "Hog" trough. I still had to buy ice cream. With the SMB and all, he got the most. Least amount buys ice cream with the son and I. The pics are as follows. The weather was great and definitely fall is coming with as cold as it's getting. How does everyone like the last pic of the son????

WOW, sorry to burst some bubbles,  :smt012 but I was asking how everybody liked the pic. My brother-in-law is an avid flyfisherman, and he lives back east. My son "Kyle" wanted to get a pic with the fish and send it to his uncle and see what his reaction would be to the pic. I think everybody liked it.  :smt003 I will send it today to him. I will say tho, that my son did try "MANY" times to get one with the flyrod, and he will continue to try. Thanks, Rory

:smt044 Well, it's till a great "pose" shot worthy of a magazine cover, even if Kyle didn't get the fish on a fly!
