I know there are a few skaters here since we've had this go round before.

tried that new $6M skatepark. lake cunningham park.

getting kinda old for this but I don't think I was the oldest there today.

Bring your diapers if you are going to skate and not just gape. holy sh1t that is a lotta scary 'crete.

$5 and full pads, but quite frankly I tossed in a hip pad and some wristguards too as that full pipe is gigantar.

yeah, see those workers in the upper right. yes the full pipe is about 30 feet tall.

You can see the full pipe bowl, the backyard pool, the rectangular bowl, the L bowl, and the thimble and cradle. I skated them all and also the skull bowl. the full pipe bowl is the shiznizz.

I wouldve given up a testicle for that kind of terrain when I was skating. I spent a good chunk of life in concrete canals, sufing masonite, and caught up in general street style antics. My heart wants to shred but I have to be at work or Im screwed.
still   thanks for the teaser

Yeah that place is massive. I hear the amoeba bowl is pretty fun though. I always sucked at transition so streets were the place to be. I needed some motivation lately and when a friend sent this I was set!! WTF are they doing!!?? :smt003

Nice stuff Z, have you seen any of the Rodney vs. Dawong stuff. That stuff blows my mind.

good question. I hit sunnyvale saturday as a warmup for cunningham. sunnyvale is still plenty fun.

what can I say, I been working and fishing and now it is surf season!

skating is taking a back seat, and that's probably a very good thing for geezers like me.

I heard that guy you were talking to the last time we were at sunnyvale, the materials engineer that quit his job to skate for a year, is the guy that designed the nice and simple and very fun rectangular bowl next to the full pipe. a number of older guys were using the shallow end as a half pipe.

There are two bowls that are reminscent of the much loved and greatly missed clam, the rectangular bowl and the skull bowl. the waterfall on the skull bowl is pretty steep tho, not the gentle perfection of the clam.

Bill, there is a lot of terrain at cunningham, plenty of opposing coping for you mini-ramp stylists.
you pretty much have to go even if you are just skating around and peering over the coping!

Cool deal, I always forget that guys name, he rips though.

I would rather suck and not pay anything then pay $6 to suck. :-)
