Wow what a long 4 days, but very fun, caught a ton of fish, lots of hours on the kayak fishing and just cruising around. Bass were easy and plentiful, and even got into the elusive smallmouth in the Isleton area. All my fish came off of rip-rap in 10-12 feet of water on cranks and jerkbaits. I did lose one nice bass on the senko when it jumped out of the water. I caught a ton of shaker stripers drifting bait in the yak and a lot just chilling on the dock with the girlfriend. Here are some pics of my 4 day trip. More to follow.

Looks like a great trip Jeff.  Nice smallies...too bad those stripers weren't the big ones you were looking for this weekend.

Have a good one.

Cool that you can take the pooch out for a paddle.  I have a spastic beagle that would probably manage to put me in the drink.  Looks like you had some action out there.  That area looks familiar, Steamboat??

Great report and pics, Jeff.  Way to get your son introduced to it - it'll take awhile, so keep it up, and be patient!   :smt001

way to go, JEff!   Nice pics and fish.     What a nice getaway.     Your son must have been thrilled to be on the yak.
