So I managed a skunk at my favorite spot but I had a great time meeting three new guys. I met up with Stormscrambler, evoojuice and flyaker. We launched to prestine conditions. We all worked different areas but the fish werent cooperating. A few guys caught some dinks, but I couldnt get all my hits to stick. I had a bunch of blowups on the buzzbait but all the hits were short. We had some idiots on a ski boat that were being waaay to obnoxious and kept coming straight at as and swerving away last second. evoojuice gave him a frindly (not) hand signal and they threatend to spray us. When flyaker and I pulled out these idiots dropped there friends off on the levee to get their cars, as we were behind them on the way out the two cars stopped side by side in the middle of the road and began talking to eachother for at least 5 minutes. Then one of them gets out and goes to the trunk of the car and gets some beers and drive off. Stupid idiots. Anyways I took some pictures, I did some night time investigating on an island levee type thing that has some old poles. Pretty cool pictures. I missed a lot of daytime action pics, but I got the teamwork pics!

Some interesting looking plumbing there.  Too bad the fish didn't cooperate, it is probably the calm before the storm right now, should bust loose pretty soon.  What a bunch of douche bags you encountered out there.  Nothing like dealing with a-holes when fishing.     :smt068

I've had multiple problems with the retarded wakeboat/skiboat/ jetski/waverunner owners in the delta,  and found that calls to the sheriff do nothing. You need pictures of their CF #'s, and it is hard to get that clearly when they buzz past. I was dealing with them in a 80 mph Basscat, so I could chase them down, follow them where ever they land and beat the tar out of them if I wish, but I found a much better and cheaper weapon.... Home Depot sells camo-colored, 3/8" nylon rope in 50 & 100 foot lengths, which  I let float attached to a 20 yards of 10 lb Spectra attaches to my boat. If they get that close, they deserve to eat a rope in their prop. I learned that trick from a friend of mine, who doesn't throw the prop killer out until an idiot shows up, (pretty good prospect any where near Tiki Lagoon/ Lost Isle/ Herman's and Helen's), but he waits until they are dead in the water, then motors over to them like he is going to help them, backs the boat up, trims the motor up so the prop is just under the water surface, then fires up the big motor, guns it and fires a roostertail of water into their boat. A good 300 gallons of water in 3-5 seconds! He then blasts off and finds quieter water. The lower the lakes get, the more idiots flock to the delta.  I kinda like the high gas prices and housing collapse here in Nor Cal, most of the retards with the ghetto rap blasting can't afford to run their boats anymore, and they are getting repo'ed.  Worst place of all for losers - FOLSOM LAKE! I love it now that it is 5mph. NO waverunners! NO skiers/wakeboards!

First -  IT was GREAT meeting, paddling and fishing with you, JEff, Jason and JAmes.   Very cool spot, just waiting for the right timing.  As with everything in life, timing is everything.   Will have to go back there again when the fish are there in greater numbers and appetite.

Incredible pictures.   I was wondering what you were taking pictures of.   Clearly you saw much more than i did.   You have the eye for beauty and abilty to capture it on camera.

Those jerks were really unbelievable.   I dont know how people like that can even exist in this world.  What goes on in their heads!??!?!  One would think in today's world, they would have a very limited lifespan.

Troutnut -  your comments had me rolling on the floor in laughter.  I am going to have to visit Home Depot to get some of that prop eating rope.

Those have to be the most interesting pictures I have seen posted yet.  Eerie, strange, and totally cool.  Thanks for the report Jeff, hope you do better out there next time.  Sorry about the pea-brains with too much testosterone...be careful out there in the dark.

THat would have been a perfect time to follow them as they drove off and call in the cops = I believe you can call 911 to report drunk drivers.

I tried to keep up, but with one being a Mustang 5.0 and the other a BMW M series and me being a Saturn sedan with a kayak longer than my car on top, it just wasn't happening. Plus we were on a gravel oad and they wer spinning and sliding throwing rocks everywhere.
