9/24/08 pb still more butts

dave (relentless) netted some smelt last night. we took the big boat out of richmond, drifted f buoy-2 shakers 1 keeper, south of the pier-1 keeper, paradise 1 keeper. quite incredible that we are still catching halibut on sept 24th, unfortunately the lack of stripers has been noticable this fall.  i have plugged and trolled san quinten, brickyard, rat a few times in the last few weeks, but only a couple of schoolies, i have recent memories of 30 fish days!
also, caught some butts on monday same places

i gotta make another go at it while the getting's good, still no hallies for me this year. nice day out there. what tide did you guys fish?

Thanks for the report kingfisher. FYI. Shore fisherman in Benicia are
catching stripers on bullhead. Maybe I'll try the yak there this Saturday.

Thanks for the info... way to pound the grounds too. I too was hoping for some stripers out there but... I've came up empty. But, the Bay has been decent to me this year... kind of...
