Holy Toledo and I joined up with a few of the NCKA faithful (T., I.S., and U.N.) for a beautiful morning on the bay. Patrick and I tried to make bait at the usual spots for nada so we ended up dragging frozen anchovies most of the time. The multitude of party boats (some had real parties going on) were hanging fish left and right during the max outgoing.
A six pack charter drifted alongside and and a small boy hooked up and as I was cheering him on my rod tip dipped a few times and I was hooked up. The fish came up quietly but did the usual dance when it saw the net which was not even unfolded or extended yet so the halibut went off on a short run only to be brought back to the net and awaiting game clip. The party boats all cleared out at slack tide and so did the fishing. I continued with my game plan hoping for the big fish that never came.
The wind rolled in and the patience wore thin so we called it a day. The group had a great lunch a Moylans Brewery in Novato to top off another great day on and off the water.
I wasn't going to post any pictures until I looked at saturdays shots and decided these two were worthy....

Straight from the Moylan Menu:
Sample a Variety of Beers for 1.75 each 4oz tasting glass.
At 24.50 for the sampler it better be more than a 3oz. taste.
