All you guys that are "not in it to win" because of all the "seasoned pros" out there fishing don't know too much about NCKA tourney history. Yeah, guys with experience know what they are doing and stuff but for some reason... that newbie luck is really hard to beat. I've come in second alot over the years and I've lost to more newbs than pros. Go figure... Either way, it'll be a ton of fun. This is one of the events that I look forward to fishing year after year. Get ready to get your drink on and grub on...

Sean-

Is there going to be a weigh boat zooming around this year too???

C'ya guys and gals out there...

Freddie

Maybe next year I'll compete.  This will be my second NCKA event.  "Chillin at Del valle" 07 was my first time meeting a few of you guys.  I brought the skirt steaks.

Why not compete? You should register if you come and it includes 2 nites camping and Beer. If we don't get more people to sign up there won't be a next year.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I thought part of the registration fee was for the privilege of camping. CSBA wasn't free. Why would this one be?

Because the USACE donates the use of this camp to us...they like us...we are "relatively" quiet and we pick up our mess.  We set a good example the first year and they actually look forward to this event.

Long and short of it $55 bucks is a BARGAIN for 2 nights camping, tourney reg, and beer.

Make no mistakes about it, I'm going! been waiting all year for this.  I just have no confidence fishing for stripers right now. (Never been) Maybe that'll change once there.  I do know about "newbie luck" though.  Maybe it'll strike me.  As mentioned eariler, I just want to land a striper, get a photo of it, after that, who knows, maybe the competive side of me will erupt then.
