Got out to the lake nice and early (10:00ish). Fished dartheads with Prizm Shad Roboworms. Caught a spot and a smallie. Nothing huge but fun. Would definitely do better if I actually fished early in the morning.
However, I felt like I was a good boy this weekend and deserved a new toy. Picked up a Powell Max 7'-0" ultra light, extra fast drop shot rod because! Let me tell you, it makes a difference.

Again, picture for proof there's bass in Folsom and wonder mutt.

Are you nose hooking the Prizims or threading them on?  Looks like a Happy Dog
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Fishing is tough in lakes that are as low as Folsom (percentage wise) .  You did well to pick up 2 fish.  Thanks for the pictures and the report.

Mickfish,

I am threading the worm onto a 1/8 oz. darthead jig. Little secret when you to to Fisherman's Warehouse. Look through all the jig packs on the display as sometimes they cast them with Gami hooks. The hook color gives the Gami away. An employee told me one day. Bear (wonder mutt) doesn't mind the kayak, but would rather be swimming.

Hobieblue,

Thanks for the compliment. It took me five trips to find productive structure as it's hard to "run-n-gun" in a kayak like a Ranger with a 225 Yamaha can. I'd still trade it for the delta. You have caught some impressive fish.
