No music, no special effects, no sailor-talk... video taken with a handheld Pentax Optio W30.  It's a bitch to reel and hold the camera at the same time!  Abking is the videographer I can only aspire to be!!!

Anyway....

Last week on that really hot Thursday I hit ARW for butts... on the water at 8:00am, off at 2:00pm... it was SLOOOOOOW!  A couple PB'ers were also out, but they weren't catching anything except pelicans.

Snapperhead gave me a shout on the radio around 11:00am and said he was bagging it due to a migraine... hope you felt better and we'll catch up next time.

I had trolled from the ramp down to Sharky's honeypot (past the end of the rockwall), with a frozen herring/hoochie behind a flasher... got sratched once, but that was it.  At around noon on the slow drift back I hooked into this leopard shark... funny thing, he was bigger than most I've caught, and yet it didn't fight very well at all... I caught one about 2/3'rd that size a couple months ago at Oyster Point that put up twice the fight...

Right at the end of the video when the shark dumped a load of bay water in my lap the leader frayed off at the hook.

pelican that harassed me last Saturday. I mean he just keeped following
me as I tried to paddle away from him. Funny and scary at the same time.

oh yea, about the pelicans. Ive had one shadow me for awhile on my last 2 or 3 trips. They have great eyesight, and were keyed in on my see through baitwell. Every time they knew i wasnt looking they made a dash at the tank. I had a few conversations with them, explaining to them that they were very cute n all, but that i couldnt share my bait with them. They are very good listeners, but dont have much to say. That Optio does a great job.

Sharky, I took some videos of a couple pelicans trying to jack me and my yak on the same day... that video isfullof sailor-talk, a la Abking... I'll try to post it tonight.

Dude, I love your signature... drinking club with a fishing problem... are you also in the drinking club with a running problem, a la the Hash Hound Harriers?

That is a really good video considering you were trying to reel while tapping.
