Bic kayaks suck, but they frequently have cool ideas. Many also have a recessed wheel in the stern so it rolls instead of drags.

I agree about Bic kayaks but I have to admit they do have a couple of cool ideas on some of their kayaks.
I wouldn't mind seeing the replaceable abrasion protectors on some of the better kayaks.

I once suggested replaceable keel guards to Hobie.  I'll bring it up again and forward the Bic pic as an example.

Bic kayaks are a little funky...but I had a Scapa (their 14.5' SOT) and it's the fastest sot I have paddled including the WS Tarpon 160 and my new Prowler 15. If you ever get a chance to paddle one, do it, they are a kick. They are NOT a fishing yak, but work good for light touring, workouts, and rec. paddling.
