Hopefully, Insaneduane will post all the pix and GPS maps etc.
Met up with a few NCKA men at the Berkeley launch. Duane and myself paddled out to the end of the pier, 3 miles of no runs hit's or errors until the last fifty feet of runes.  Then, I dropped down a frisky, all be it smallish Shiner.  Soon Avet SX, and Kencore 85C, were letting me know my bait was under attack. This flatty decided to swim away from the pier, like they seem to do almost all of the time, so I let him take line, swallow, chew, or do what ever the hell they do. Gotta love lever drag, loaded up the tension a bit, and fish on.  28 inches 10.4 Lbs. Next we paddled over to the East side of Treasure Island, and watched a couple NCKA men compleating a launch from the rocks of TI.  The tide was up so it only looked brutal, and not a compleat slippery, dangerous- rat*uck. Of course they had to get back, ouch. From TI it was off too, and under, the mid span of the Bay Bridge, and a little shade for a bit. Poppin out on the south side of the bridge, bait was freaking everywhere, from the bottom, to the surface, and jumping.  Next was the one square mile of free floating sea grass-crap wrecking my swerve. After that we met up with Sacramentofrank, and a half dozen, motor powered, fishing boats. My bait was still looking great, but with that nice flatty in the hull, I was content to pop my drift shoot and take a nap, before halfassedly finishing my hunt for another Flatty.
Next year, I plan to do this 2 car thing a lot. Leaving one vehicle at the Oakland Airport launch area, or ARW, and launch from Richmond, or the reverse, letting the tide decide were to launch. Covering water like that, I hope to pick up a few more bass, while having a couple good looks at a Dino. :smt003

Thanks for the report Relentless. It looks like you guys were all over the place. Nice to hear that there are a lot of bait in the water. That means the halibut may
still be around for a while.
