Lucky you, not only spending time with the in-laws on your b-day, but doing it in Fresno none the less. :smt003  Didn't know they had an airport.  Is it called HW 99?

And since I'm here, Happy early Birthday!  :occasion13:  :occasion15:

Actually, I'm flying into Sacramento and driving down HW 99 from there.  At least I'm flying on the in-laws dime. :)  They really want to see there grandson.

Just checked the weather forecast... in the 100's the whole time I'm there.  I don't know if my Portland acclimated self can handle that.

FRESNO?!?!?!

That's the present from HELL!!!!!!
They should fly Up to get away from the heat.
Just don't get an ice cream b-day cake. It might not make it from the store to their house.
Happy early B-day Brian. I am REALLY hoping the A/C works very well in the rental car!!!!

The alternative trip I was hoping to take was the Moutcha Bay tournament in British Columbia.  My side of the conversation went something like this..

"Hey honey what do you think about driving up to... Oh? Your parents want us to visit them in Fresno for Labor Day.. and they bought us tickets to fly down.  Oh yeah, great, can't wait.  No really.  Hey when do we fly out?  Oh.  That's my birthday you know... how nice."

My biggest problem is that I don't know whether I'm earning WAF this weekend or just making up for a WAF deficit I forgot about.

Seriously though, I pretty lucky.  My in-laws are really nice and it's not actually Fresno that I'm going to, rather it's Clovis.

I probably have the WAF for BAM IV at this point, I'm just lacking the $$ for the gas.

Naoaki,

You and Jim should come up for the NWKA rockfish/lingcod tournament on Sept 20th in Oregon.  I believe there will be a kayak as first prize and the way things look we'll probably have less than 20 people entered.
