Black Steel series (graphite with fiberglass tip) rated 15-25 pounds should be a good for most kayak fishing salt water stuff. Retail $220. You won't break the tip off of this one unless highsticking some giant fish.  Short of a custom built EK rod, probably not a better rod for $150 IMHO.

This series is similar to the Calstar Grafighters but the tip is a little heavier which may actually be good thing for yak fishing because of the high sticking issue.
