non kayak salmon report

my little brother"northman" on this board flew in from maine last night.  we took my big boat out to muir today, got there about 9;30, trolled up a 21 lbs, 14lbs and  12lbs salmon. we left a 1 pm, we were so hungover[we did not drink a beer all day, stopped in san leandro, got 3 stripers to 5 lbs in a few minutes, then home to clean a whole mess o fish. now it is up to tahoe for some high sierra trout!  overall the fishing looked slow, and we caught our fish miles off shore[ i think only bluekayak can paddle that far] so i cannot say it would be good from a kayak, but the fish bit and fought like beasts, the 14 lber took so much line i thought something bigger had grabbed it!

Cool... glad to hear the stripers have returned to our own backyard!
