Going to give it a try once again in Capitola for some *Halibut!*  Learned some techniques ( well, stole the idea's from other's at MBK : ) that I would like to try out, hopefully increase my chances this time!  Be arriving by 6AM, casual launch by 7 or so to make bait then head out.

All company welcomed!

Cheers,

Al-

Hi Al:

I'll be launching from Santa Cruz West harbor unless, Alex wants his Yak back.

Eh, Screw SC! :smt005  Far better chances of fish in Capitola by my count ;)  Come down to Capitola, just a hop skip and a jump from SC anyways! :smt003

Hey Al,
I'll be out there on Sunday, but not as early as you. I'm launching from New Brighton, probably around 8:30ish. Ch 69 as usual. See ya!

I haven't been out in weeks. Need to get out again. I'll try to get my work done and get out there.

Bring your larger sabikis the anchovies have vacated the area. I was out Thursday, luckliy I ran inth a school of Sardines and macks on the way to soquel pt. Filled up on bait in 3 drops but did not even get a take down from a rf in 5 hrs of soaking them. There are also jack smelt around. I like to use the smaller ones 7"+-. they tend to stay alive for a while. There has been a little swell and red tide. You would probably do best to stay in 45-60' of h2o. I am moving my daughter into her new dorm for her first year at college or I would be out. Good luck!.
