Hello all, I am new to the board, found this site while reading about kayak fishing.

I am tossing the idea around after years of boat and surf fishing the salt, it seems like a new challenge.

I plan on buying a few things I can use on a kayak but also a boat first, all the while researching the sport.

I have a few quick generic questions, do most of the good kayaks have livewell kits, and how do they work?  I can't imagine running a pump on a battery with no charging system, do most have hand pumps for water exchanges?

How about the newer kayaks with the foot power, revolutionizing the sport or hype that some go for, most don't?

Appreciate you taking the time, looks like plenty or reading around this site to keep me busy for a while.

Only a few kayak mfg., produce livewell kits, and they generally suck with Hobies looking like the exception. A battery will last all day if you set it up right, its really no big deal.

Peddle yaks definitely work, its just a personal preference kinda thing.  Not my cup of tea, but there are many good anglers here who love them.
