My wife landed us a cabin for the weekend so this will be the first time diving here. Just wondering if anyone has fished or ab dove around here. Any info on the area would be great. Let me know if anyone is in the area fo rthe weekend and I'll hookup. Have a safe and fun time anywhere you go. :beer3

Everywhere I have dove in Sea Ranch is quality , abs being all over the place , a good place if you are a trophy hunter . If you have a spear gun take it , even as a beginner I never had any problems shooting some nice rockfish , cabs being my favorite .

Make sure you have your parking permit showing on your vehicle and go in at a bluff where you do not cross anybodies property . Otherwise you will most likely come back to a booted wheel , not sure what it costs to remove now a days , but ten years ago it was $75 I believe . Yes I did learn the hard way , at that time there was no cell service , had to hike to the lodge to request removal of the boot . Good Luck !

Dr Hab,
You won't have a problem finding abs and fish. I've been there a few times and love the place.
Remember you can't hang your wetsuits to dry out on the deck, or security will come!
Have fun, beautiful place.

If you can't find abs and fish at sea ranch, it's probably because you're not in the water.  The place is loaded just about anywhere there's rocks.  Have fun.

Dove there a couple times in the past. Plenty to choose from. Do a little scouting and find an easy access. I'm sure you'll do fine, if you can dive. There is also one place you can launch a kayak. It opens to a protected beach with rocks on the flanks. Never fished there, just dove. Ditto on the parking. They don't take their rules lightly there...

Jonesz do you remember the name of the beach that you could launch a kayak from? Was the trail from the parking lot to the water cartable? Thanks!   jim/redyak
