I will most likely be launching off Capitola. I find it is easier to make bait there then head out to soquel point. I'll be on 69.

D- maybe I will meet you there?

Yes, I got out today for about an hour test run.

Arm is getting better and I'm cleared for take-off, but only taking baby steps this week.

I can paddle, but still need help unloading and loading.  Really want to get  one of those halibut while they are here and on the bite.

....yes, I'm back and with a vengeance!!

Allen, looking forward to seeing you Sunday.  We will be at Dock A.  Haven't seen you since we were at Loch Loman when we all got together.  Glad to hear the Arm is getting better.  We will discuss it later but it seems pretty easy to make bait in the Harbor and perhaps we will want live bait.

Great see you then.  Tons of bait in and in front of the harbor.

looks like James (wastoid?) and I will probably see ya'll out there. Fished a bumpy davenport today for only one small RF. I know.... times are tough. So we went out to MBK and James treated himself to a brand new P13 angler...
First run tomorrow, Capitola launch, around 7. Hope to see you all and meet some new people. Allen, glad to hear you're back. Had a good laugh with Howard M. up in AK when he told me why you were off the yak....
Okay, fingers crossed, flat fish for everyone on a kayak tomorrow!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Good to meet you guys out by the mile buoy. Did you have any luck after I saw you?  I was into some rockfish, but no flatties.

Hi Ganoderma,

My radio went on the fritz but I heard Khmunger talking to you. I think I saw you but never got to chat. It was a pretty slow day for me. I ended up with 3 rockies and 1 27" ling. I did get one of my baits raked on one drop but no flatty action for me either  :smt010

Khmunger and I are heading out again on Wed. Any takers?

OK, that was FishCamp that I ran into by the mile buoy.

Not sure if I can make it on Wednesday. I'll call on the radio if I'm out there.

Dammit. Had a ~20lb flattie at the boat and lost it. My leader just too long, my gaff just too short. Lost it...
Came home with only rockfish and left some under sized lingers swimming...
Almost lost tears over this. Did lose the gaff.

This was all Wasteiod's fault.
Too embarrassed to leave a real report on this one.
Lessons learned.
Holding back tears typing.
Dawn patrol friday AM???
