fished on mitch's striper in the delta today.  we started late, and spent the day at the fleet, them the mouth of 'zuma, then west of ozol.  i caught a fat 53" sturgeon at ozol around 5 pm on ghost in 40ft.  mitch landed a couple shaker stripers and a small sturgeon at zuma.
7/4 i met duane and dave at the rockwall.  i caught 4 shaker halibut, dave caught a shaker, duane caught a 24" but.
i caught rockfish, halibut and sturgeon all in 1 week, they could have been bigger but it sure was fun! :smt003

Good going kingfisher, happy anniversary in advance.
I have a quick question for you if you don't mine. How
did you fight your sturgeon? Did you stay on your kayak
or did you go on shore and fight the rest of the battle?
Also what did you use for bait?

Thanks
Jedmo

hey jedmo i caught the sturgeon from a power boat "pb".  however fighting a sturgeon from a kayak is the same. throw off the anchor rope if you need to and go for a sleigh ride.  i have never needed to throw the anchor.
i used ghost shrimp for bait.

that's a pretty impressive task to complete, let alone try....way to spread the love around! Some guys only dream of getting a chance to drop a line for just ONE of those you caught!
makes me rethink how GOOD we HAVE it, here around the bay.
Thanks for the compiled report! :smt003
