What better way to enjoy a day off than sailing on the bay? FREE sailboat rides at the Berkeley Marina during Cal Sailing Club’s Open House, Friday, July 4 between 1-4 pm. Come for the sailing, stay for the fireworks. (If you do plan on staying note that roads into the Berkeley Marina will be closed to car traffic from 6 pm till midnight - free bicycle valet parking is offered by the City- check the city's website for more information). Come prepared by dressing in warm, waterproof clothing, with an extra set in case you get wet. Children over five, accompanied by a parent or guardian, are welcome. At the Open House, you can learn more about Cal Sailing Club. A non-profit member cooperative, Cal Sailing offers lessons and the use of boats and windsurfing equipment to members. Three month memberships are available to the public for $60, or $55 for students and seniors—-and free to those who teach.
Discover the joys of sailing and windsurfing on the bay. More information available at http://www.cal-sailing.org
