Half Moon Bay (06-21-08)

Here is a short report from a short trip:

I paddled out to some coordinates that I pulled from a fishing map. It was called Pillar Point Hump if that sounds familiar to anyone. I caught a vermilion rockfish on my second drop but then nothing for the next 45 minutes. It was much windier beyond the harbor and I wished that I hadn't left my drift anchor in the truck.

When I paddled back to the beach it was so packed that I had a hard time finding a place to land. I won't make the mistake of launching there again.

Short trip but great report!  The GPS route overlay on the map is cool.   

at least you found "one" Vermy while you where out there .....thanks for the report and pic.....you did good just by launchin&exiting where you did!
