Here is a short report from a short trip:

I paddled out to some coordinates that I pulled from a fishing map. It was called Pillar Point Hump if that sounds familiar to anyone. I caught a vermilion rockfish on my second drop but then nothing for the next 45 minutes. It was much windier beyond the harbor and I wished that I hadn't left my drift anchor in the truck.

When I paddled back to the beach it was so packed that I had a hard time finding a place to land. I won't make the mistake of launching there again.
