My son's birthday(17) was yesterday and the only thing he wanted for his birthday was to go to the Cabela's store in Reno.  So, we left on Friday, spent the night at the Silver Legacy in Reno, and went to the store this morning.
Have you ever thought about actually touching all the things you buy from Cabela's before you spend your money?  You can do it there.
We found a few bargains, especially since Father's Day is almost here.  I don't know if it would be worth it to drive up there just to go to the store but, if you are ever in the area, don't miss it.
Yes, it is extremely cool to have a son who asks you to do something you wanted to do anyway.

Nice!  I can only hope that my daughter will someday want to visit a Cabela's.  It'll be a few years off as she is only a year old, but a daddy can hope.

Are there any plans for one in NorCal?

I have been to the Cabela's a couple of times and the selection is impressive. Check out Sportsman's Warehouse on the way up. It's right off 80/65 in Rocklin on the way to Reno. They have lower prices than Cabela's.

Very impressive I just visited the Cabela's in KC and The Bass pro Shops in Springfield and Branson. the BPS in Springfield is Super Huge you could spend the whole day there for great deals they have their Catalog Outlet store picked up a 245DS for $55 and a Revo STX for $80 Storm Cranks for $1.99, Spinnerbaits $1.25 plus a bunch of hardware $.99 a bag.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

My daughter mentioned that they are building a Bass Pro Shop somewhere around Tracy.  Looking forward to visiting there.  Maybe for my son's 18th?

There is also a Sportsman Warehouse in Reno off of "Moana Way" They are also building a "Sheals" in Sparks. Can't miss the building, It's HUGE!!! It is suppose to be the largest sports authority around. It is suppose to open in the fall. Everytime I go to Reno I stop at all of the places. Another place to go is "Sierra Trading Post" They have a lot of good deals on clothes for the sporting person.
