Good to hear from you.

Might be going--business trip there but it's tenuous right now. If I did make that long flight,  I'd linger a bit for some fishing given inspiring reports like that.

Haven't seen me much because with two fast-growing daughters, Two high-energy English Springer Spaniels, a full-time job at Oracle, and a wife who works full-time-plus there just isn't a lot of time for time-intensive pursuits these days. I am doing a few alpine climbing trips to the Sierra this year if I can find sufficient time (Sun Ribbon Arete on Temple Crag and the Palisade traverse are calling me in my sleep now ;-) and been doing a lot of 'road hammering' cycling since it's close to home and easy to fit in a busy schedule.

Hope to get to fishing again soon though.

Get thee to the Palisades! I really like that area, though The Swiss Arete has always denied me with weather turning me away three times now.

Scott,

Indeed, as you surely know, the Palisades are probably the best part of the range for alpine climbing in the Sierra. The Minarets take a close second, not for scale surely but for beauty alone, but they are still second. I have goals to accomplish there without even thinking about the rest of the Sierra--and time's sands keeps draining through that hour glass as work and family pull me away from my focus on them. Not to even mention fishing or that I couldn't get into the Markleeville Death Ride again this year as it's sold out already. Arrrrgh!! I really need to wet a line ;-)
