as the lead of the ClamPossy, I voted for hot cho-cho and toast, but was out voted for a real breakfast. We went to a few before we found one that was open.

Good to talk, see and clam it up with the fellas!  :smt044

...oh, after being all pumped up for the RF opener, hoping to GO BIG and being turned away, I went home and had catch something!.....sized down my expectations&offering, threw out into the cover and look what I got!

Wow...  Glad I skipped the Bean myself too!  Let me know next time you guys are going to launch under those conditions!  I'll be there with my tripod and camcorder to get the carnage filmed  :smt044

Yeah, you want to exit the cove through the middle.  Usually there's a safe(ish) zone between the inner break and outer break, and folks that bite it on the outer break tend to get it because they tried to go straight out rather than around that break.

I've never targeted halibut at bean hollow because the rockies are better odds, but I try to use rigs that they'll hit too because they're a nice bonus.

Wow!  Craig's back (nice to see you on the board again, bro   :smt001), and he's been saving up courage over the Winter!  Whitewater like that in your face is enough to make the best of us crap our wetsuits!  You're an animal!

...and for those who haven't been NCKA addicts for long enough to remember a couple Summers back, Craig whacked what I'd say is likely the biggest kayak caught lingcod we've seen around here.  He has an official Abking endorsement as a Renaissance-yak-man because of that ling and also some bad-ass underwater video at the Bean.  I want some of that footage for one of my videos, Craig!!

Great reporting, all.  :smt001

Don't worry he's Danglin :smt003
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Here that Cafecraig's lingcod that Abking mentioned about for those who never seen it.

Cool pic Mooch...  The surf at BH is pretty deceptive, I think that pic shows.. Sneakers pop up in a hurry sometimes.

And Adam, you got camera skillz too - thanks for sharing!  You caught an awesome looking b'fast and cool critters, much better than just a couple walls of water IMO!  Hot cho-cho sounds way good right now actually - thanks for the idea!

For sure, those pics show what happens when you are at the wrong place at the wrong time!   Ironically I did just about fall to the right, but it was a couple seconds after I made it through the second wave - not sure which was the bigger one(?) - but I caught my balance back at the last minute, whew.

Yeah good point, I will make sure to thread the break needle better next time (although it was pretty fun yesterday - but would have been much less so if I had wiped out).   It helped to not stop, but to power harder forward, let the hull and rocker control the water, then lift the paddle way up horizontally so it didn't get caught in the wave and throw me over.

Eric, hey!  I just have the vids I took that day, but you are welcome to whatever of it you want.  Thanks for the shout out - good to hear from you!    Tim, thanks for reminding me of how much better it feels to be pictured with actual fish instead of a faceful of surf!  We will hook up soon - glad you enjoyed your day!

And you too Danglin' - who I should add has landed plenty more than my few big fish and epic days.  Along with the North Coast legends, the White crew, bsteves, EK too, among several others, all have had huge yak lings.  But hmmm, theirs didn't end up in my freezer!  :smt047

Sean and Mike also, thanks - hope to see you OTW, am sure one of these days it'll happen!

It's supposed to be swelly next weekend, but I am crossing my fingers for 6/15!  I am jonesin for some fresh fish.  And hot choc!
