2" gap gaff hook - $4.00 (rod rack)
3ft 1/2in id hollow aluminum rod - $10.00 (home depot)
225ft nylon twine $3.00 (home depot)
hypalon grip  -  $6.00
1/2in id butt cap - $1.00
+ rod finish & epoxy

Its not completed yet, I need to epoxy the grip and butt cap, seal teh ends of the rod w/ goop, maybe test for floatation before epoxying the grip.

The twine wrap on the gaff hook came out rainbow because the spool of twine is multi-colored.  Home depot doesnt have a good color selection for nylon twine.
