I know it's probably a long shot on rockfish opening weekend, but we'll be trolling for trout on Shasta Lake this weekend. We'll be houseboating either on the Pit or McCloud Arms, probably both.

If anyone is going to be around, give us a shout. I'll keep the radio on Ch 69.

There's a chance I may be able to make it up for a day (probably Monday morning if anything), though I'll probably be targeting the bass more than anything right now.  Of course after blowing $200 on gas for last weekends coast trip I may be stuck at home!

Ben, $200 worth of gas! Wow, where did you go and I hope you caught plenty of fish.

We're going to Trinity as well; in July. Camping tho', those houseboats are way too expensive.

Ben; I'll keep the radio on. We'll probably be up Pit or Squaw by Monday.

Yeah, 12 mpg at $4.50/gal for a coast run puts the hurtin' on, luckily I came home with about 20 lbs of fillets (Trinidad post in reports).

I heard the trout are down around 50' or so on Shasta right now, so they may be a little tricky to reach, but good luck and hopefully I'll see you out there.

As far as Trinity in July goes, sounds like a good time...be sure to post a hookup before you go.
Tight lines,
Ben
