I will be going camping in the santa cruz area monday and tuesday night with my GF.  This meens we will be fishing in the greater montery bay area tuesday and wednesday mornings.  Most likely to target halibut and rockfish unless the salmon show back up.  I would like to hit stillwater cove or davenport one morning the other morning is still up in the air. We would love company.

Patrick

well I didnt get to do as much fishing as I would have liked because my girlfriend had a terrible migrain both moarnings.  We got up at 530 tuesday and i could tell she wasent up to going out and I didnt really want to go by myself so we slept i till about 830 then i decided to se what davenport looked like I launched with minamal geer and headed strait out not wanting to go to far because the wind was picking up I made a cupple drifts but I couldent keep my line anyware neer verticle and I left my drift shoot in the car.  I got snaged about ten times untill I almost broke my rod due to the line getting rapped around the tip I cut the line with the dive knife on my pfd and headed in.  This moarning started the same way and i wanted to try stillwater but not by myself so I waited untill she felt somewhat better and we arived at stillwater at 10 or so I loaded up again with minamal gear and she desided to join me as well but not to fish because she wasn't feeling up to it.  I fished the kelp for 30mins trying various soft plastics untill I swiched to a fishtrap on my first cast with this perticular fishtrap I caught a 18"ling that I belive had a hichhiker for a while because it fought like a bigger fish for a while and he had some fresh teath markes my second cast was another ling this one going about 22"  that was the end of that swimbait  I swiched to a fishtrap that I pored myself and caught one small kelp rockfish.  then I caled it a day and headed in.
