Hello Abdiver

I just wanted to let you know that I did follow up on trying to adopt you hitch hicking dog.  I called the shelter on Tuesday.  Due to health problems he will not be offered up for general addoption.  He will be going to a rescue center.

Thanks again for showing comapssion.  The dog thanks you too.

Not knowing the specifics of the "health problem", I can only surmise this dog was on his last legs when found and rescued by Abdiver.

Even if this dog is eventually put to sleep, at least his life will end with a period of comfort, caring and company.  Far better than his fate could have been.  Cold, hungry, bewildered and alone.

If the 'problems' don't mean mandatory euthenasia, I really hope an adoption is in the books for the pup.

On this board we've occasionally seen the phrase 'Walk the walk, not just talk the talk.'

I submit to the group that Abdiver and mlpetrus are tall walkers, and their long shadows touch us all.

I'm proud to call you each my friend, and look forward to the time we can meet and spend time together, (most likely fishing.......).

Sincerely,

Allen
