I really like the old school tarpon logo and that tank well insert was something that I really could have used when I had a DH.

I was curious as to what inspired the "upgrade" from the OK prowler to the T160dh?
need some speed?

enjoy the glide

Yeah, why the switch?

Also, I've got the same boat.  Does anyone know where you can buy that tank-well insert?  That is really cool.

My P15 was uncomfortable and slow. My old T140 I could spend 10 hours in the boat but after 2 or 3 hours in the P15 my butt and back would be hurting already.  Plus I am always on the move, trolling or exploring so ease of paddling is a must for me. It was a lot easier keeping my T140 at a constant comfortable speed. I did give up the stability, but I have a pretty good in-kayak balance  :smt003

NICE! :)  Hey, where did you get your rack for your car, and what do they run?

Thanks, I got it at Valley Sporting Goods in Modesto. I paid a pretty penny for it. I think it was about $300 with the Thule J racks which were $150 alone  :smt013. But the 28 mpg with the kayak on top does not bother me so it will pay itself off eventually.

Thats a nice boat, I like that rear hatch insert.  It'd probably be pretty easy to use the plastic one as a mold and make a fiberglass copy Dave.....thats is if you can't find one commercially available.  :smt002

I haven't really noticed a huge difference in paddling between the 160i and my p15 but comfort definitely goes to WS.  The built in seat and back are awesome.
..........agarcia is just an ex-kayaker
