Butt Hunt @ Paradise....shore BBQ? Fri? Sat? 5/16-17....weather is gonna be

I just made a big mistake........just google'd Tiburon "live cams" .....Sam's and a couple of others. I can't stop calculating  how fast I could get there for an afternooner. Not gonna happen. Closest I will get to the water today will be the office water cooler. See Everyone Tomorrow.

reads like a yardbird Saturday in in full effect!  
it's gonna be alittle cooler maybe(hopefully) on sat, but it is a wind protected spot and it will be "Paradise" again.....plan for HOT temps!

OH hell... thats pretty tempting!  I'm a south guy too, but in looking up the distance, its only a few more miles to travel there than Carmel for me.  I'll give some serious thought to it, for a Saturday fun day!  Any places to camp near by? 

there is a camping at China Camp State Park (San Rafael) It is a walk-in though, from the parking lot...they give you a whelled cart to load your stuff into......it might do for an overniter?

Well, looks like China Camp is out, until Sat:

"NOTE: Backranch Meadows Campground is CLOSED to camping for water line repairs from March 16th, 2008 - approximately May 16th - 30th, 2008. In Mid May please call 415-456-0766 to see if the campground has been reopen."

The online reservations lists it as being open as of the 17th...

"Earliest arrival date for on-line reservation is Sat May 17 2008. Please choose a later arrival date."

So, lookin for another park to stay at, close enough to make it worth while.  Otherwise, direct trip on Sat!

Just got back from Ft Baker @ the N. tower, gg bridge, fished for an hour for bait in gale force winds from the peir for nada. Went from broiling in Navato to downright chilly in Sausalito. Typical. Ill bring a bunch of beer on ice, rolling rock and non-alcohol too. Get some bait from Keith's in the AM.

Just reserved a "cheap ass" hotel in Mill Valley just off 101.  Started marinating some chicken too!  They have bbq pits there or you have to bring your own?  Still thinking about doing beans!
