Greetings Fellow Anglers,

Not much action for us out at Berkeley.  We launched from the boat ramp around 7am.  Paddled out to the pier ruins to give the spot a try.  Shicken had 1 takedown but was not able to capitalize on it.  I freed about 10 anchovies.

Shicken did receive some strange looks when he was installing part of his fishfinder on the side of the boat ramp.  He brought a hand-drill(manual) and fasteners to mount the unit to his new boat.  Talk about OTF installations.

We were off the water around 10:30-11:00am.  Winds started acting weird around 10am and we felt it was better to be safe than sorry.

It was the first time paddled the Prowlers with all our gear on it.  The kayaks ate up the chop without skipping a beat..  I miss the wet ride of the Necky Spike and Scupper Pro.  When the beans settle in and the flatulence begins there's nothing like an odoriferous bubble bath.  The P15 is a nice and dry ride.

Great weather.  Great water.  Great Fun.  Could you ask for more?

Fish Off,
Mike

P.S.  How about some fish?

Great to see there in use already. I have only taken mine to del valle and chabot, with no tackle, just the kids and wife. I did stand up and move around on the p15 to see how my balance was, no problem. I jumped in to see if I could get back in; in sitting down in 6-7 seconds, with pfd on. Hope to fish in june for R/F. Still need rod holders, but I have a f/f, milk create, and I ordered a gaff.

Good effort! Happy to see a few more "650's" making it out on the water!  :smt002
