Sturgeon fishing with bsteves in the Pacific Northwest.

So, bsteves and I hit Swain Island on the Willamette River yesterday searching for the ever elusive spring run Chinook Salmon.  We tried trolling for a couple hours but nobody has been catching  .  The fish are coming through but the water is cold and the fish seem to just be blasting there way up to the dams.  We switched over to sturgeon mid-morning.  We caught 7 shakers in a couple hours.  Check out the video.  Then we paddled back to the harbor and fished for crappie and smallmouth between the big boats, See pix.  The sturgeon was a lot of fun.  It's hard to be disappointed catching 35 in fish.

your sturgeon video went blank after hook up? what were you guys using for bait on the dinos?

I'm going to be in the olimpic peninsula late june, little vaca on a lake with the Fam....

Cool video.  Sounds like a great hookup, and gotta love the multi-species attack - nice planning.
