I mostly trout fish, but since getting my kayak I am being drawn to the Tuolumne and Stanislaus rivers.  I am looking to get a striper rod and reel, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!!!

From my kayak I use a 6'6" rod. It is a little light, but it's so much fun. I landed my 37" 18lb striper on it and it was a fun fight. I just use a little larger reel. I do a lot of jerkbait casting with it and my arm doesnt get tired. What kind of kind of fishing do you plan on doing with it? bait/casting lures/trolling?

How much do you want to spend, lures bait, trolling casting?
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.
