Ha, ha, the tackle wasn't from Hi's (1st post and I'm already 86'd on this forum!)     The lake was next to the Santa Ana river in Orange County.  He was hooked (possibly by Dad) on a spoon.  Sam's older brother netted him so he gets the assist.  I'm told the lake has hybrid's so the size should be taken with a grain of salt.
