Mooch,

Just because Santa Cruz is considered to be the country's largest open air sanitarium doesn't mean the fish are lost.....just a wee bit confused, maybe..

Rich

I agree about the fish being confused.....I believe it was a couple of years back when a shore bound fisherman, who was lure casting for stripers, ended up catching a 20# Albacore  :smt104

I've feel like I've turned into a lurker, the past 6 months. (working way too much) But at least I've been able to read the posts.

I've caught fish out of SC,  every time there.  :fishing1

I can't make the opener, but I'll be waiting for the posts...

Craigh, the only fish I've caught in SC are TONS of kingfish, one gigantus smelt and ONE undersized ling. Perhaps you can show me your "spots" one of these days (I'll buy you a beer)  :smt002

Yes Mooch, get with that inner hippie and get with it man :icon_r&r:

Mooch, I don't have any secret spots there but, I have no problem showing you where I go. First chance I get to go fishing I'll drop you a note.  I have caught a lot of king fish there too...

Hey Yakuza,

Your post applies to me perfectly (although this is my second post)!

I moved from TX to CA in November. I have been studying the saltwater fishing regulations and checking this site to learn about launch sites and fishing tackle. I would like to hook up with some fellow yakkers soon.

I spent the winter learning how to kayak surf. Hopefully there are a few others here with the same interest.

I have a truck, camping gear, and an extra set of saddles in case anybody from the peninsula area wants to go on a road trip.

Hey Brian:

Nice set up ya got there.  Hope you have a good opener, and look forward to fishing with you sometime soon.  Thanks for posting!
