HI JD:

It would be a good idea to hookup with a Guide. The Yak
Guide will be able to access your capabilities and give you the headsup on, if your a Danger to yourself and others.
Guides will also share their "Honey Hole" with you if
you share your catch with them. :smt005 I booked with Allen B. and
shortly after  hooked up with my first Butt on his "Old Blue".
There are other Guides like Sean W. who support KCKA and
Fight to keep our Fishing grounds open. Try to shop with Vendors who support our Tribe with donations.

JimmyDee,

Welcome to the madness!!!! There are a lot of good places to go in San Jose and if you just want to paddle then go over to the Perc ponds.

Allen Bushnell in Santa Cruz, is a great guy to hook up with to learn about kayakfishing and kayak handling. I'd recommend him cuz he is close.

Once you get to know some stuff about your kayak watch what happens. Next thing you know, your putting holes in it, putting on accessories and trying to make it the way you want it. When that happens, you know your hooked!! :smt003

I'm here in Sunnyvale and if you ever get out to local lakes, you'll see me in my "Lead Sled!" (Hobie Outback)

welcome Jimmydee,

I too live in S.J. and occasionally fish Stevens Creek, Loch Lomond, and Lexington Reservoir when theres water. This rock cod opener i will be fishing in Monterey out of MBK (Monterey bay kayak). Every body is welcome to fish with. This is where I usually go since my family still lives in the area.

Again Jmmydee Welcome to the Madness!
