I say we locate this Angela C. and figure out what the real deal is. Are you with me? Anyone? Anyone?   :smt003

Reminds me of a spanish show named "El Chapulin Colorado"... "¡Síganme los buenos!" ("Good guys, follow my lead!")

Not according to "Angela C" who writes:

"Have you ever had poop in you mouth?  Well I am sure glad I haven't.  I wouldn't go so far as to say the food here was poop in my mouth..."

eeeehhhhhh

Who is Angela C. Is she Puerto Rican? If she is not I would not trust what she had to say. You have to remember that most americans are not exactly into international foods.

I have eaten there many times and one of my favorites there is "Rabo Encendido" (Literal translation is "Tail on Fire"). It's ox tail in a stew like sauce. It was great!

I have no clue who "Angela C" is.  She just posted an obnoxious comment on that yelp page that you posted a link to.  I don't put much stock in other people's comments on food anyway, and I'll try anything b/c I've got the craziest taste in food, will eat pretty much anything.

One thing is true. They are very slow so if you are in a hurry don't go there. It's a mom and pop kind of place and they have home style cooking.

If you will eat anything, have you tried Tanto?

Haven't tried Tanto but its pretty near my house so i'll add it to the list of places to check out.  It seems "unusual" in that its not americanized.  Like to try new places.

If your ever in Pasadena, try this place called Maison Akira.  I went there recently for a drug rep dinner with my brother.  It's japanese french fusion.  The foie gras sashimi was, lets say, a little exotic!   :pukel:   but the seabass was spectacular.  (dang, talk about a tangent...)

Pasadena is also where Jennifer Lopez has her restaurant, Madre's. Probably pricey.
