Hi Yakers:

Tried to hook up with some East Bayer's but,
did a reckon of the area.
I found the Cal Club will let you use their Dock and Water plus,
free limited parking.
I followed the Pier and Pilings for about 2 Miles with only a few Bites.
The Weather was windy and I decided not to try to make it to Brooks Isl.
The open house at Cal Sailing Club with free Sailboat rides and Grilled Salmon for $5 made for a great day.
The Cal State Crew were a lot of fun.

I could use some Intel Paddling and Fishing Books Isl.
                                                                     Thanks
                                                                     Ernie

For some demented reason your title and text format your wrote in had me trying to sing (in my head) your report to the theme song from Gilligan's Island.  As you can guess...It didn't work.

Anyway, the recon info seems pretty useful.  How was the farmed salmon?

Very Nice,

WTGive it a try in Huricain force winds on The Bay......... Ouch,

There are a couple other areas to launch towards the brooks Island area to hit the area behind the Race Track. I think you could even launch behind the race track if you wanted to, just bring your wheels,
need to recon this area too, but I think there is a kool little beach area to launch there.

Back to what I know....

Going out 580 towards San Rafael Bridge, take Marina Parkway Exit and go towards Bay,

follow around boats in marina on right as you pass by you will find a parking lot at the end of this rd. and a bike path that borders the bay along a newer type housing track. There you will find a small beach with a cement runway to it. You can paddle across the channel and either work your way around the west side of the island or do what I do and drag your yak across the thinnest part, at high tide you might even be able paddle straight across.

Next spot which I really like is " Ferry Point " out of Point Richmond, nice parking lot, small wheel to a nice little beach and you can work it out to Hampton Shoal from there or work the inside and outside of the Harbor or work your way down to the south side of the Island. The Cal dawn works this area very hard in the next few months,

Catch ya out there when the Winds calm down abit :smt006

Hi Bsteve and Dangling:

The Salmon was OK, I haven't tasted Fresh for about a year. The Fish  was from CostCo.
Worst case I'll eat Kipper Snacks! :smt005  I moved from San Diego to the Bay area to fish Salmon . I need to relocate :smt044
Lots of Eye Candy from Cal.  :smt007
