Im 0 for 3 drifting the russian for chrome. Appearantly these fish did not recieve that "year of the spider" memo.
I did my homework. I watched EXCELLENT guides. I have the concepts, which are very similiar to my highcountry tactics, and it felt like a smooth transition.   I took 0 victims.
I enjoy this style of active fishing on active water and I want to do alot more BUT I still didnt add to my AOTY total and now the rules have changed. It may have to be a lowertwin brown that fills my trout req.
The mini-X is comfortable, functional, and easy to manipulate one handed in current.
I believe that this is the true realm of the m-X and Im very excited about trying some C2 trout waters with it.
The guantlet was again functional but still needs work. I used the "mendocrew"+ style today and found that it required the same amount of resistance to bring up the anchor as the guantlet style, but I liked the lower profile and strength of the 707 drift system better, for now.

Defeated, I went down to the RP to have a talk with the captain and look at the water. There are males everywhere and they are posturing on nesting grounds. We've seen this teaser before but the lack of consistant warm weather has been knocking them back down. IF the warm weather holds until the weekend it may turn the clear lady on.

Even with the big strike out I cant complain. I spent time with friends on the water and even met a NCKA member that I hadnt before.
Plus, there is tommorrow and my date with mother mendo.

Not Terry, but I think I can answer this.  Totem as in totem pole.  Think spirit guide animal or some such.

The photo is of Scwafish holding a Squawfish.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

This felt good today. I needed it.
Also nabbed a few largemouth and saw carp on the surface.
Im hoping for a much larger replacement but I wanted to see some points.
This was first blood on the 160.  What a glide.
