I'm picturing sunshine, glassy water, cool colors on the shakers, a smile on your face...

You guys look well prepaired, unlike me yesterday. I arrived to conditions like those in the pic, but was weary because id been foiled by the wind so many times. I loaded up hastily and at some point said to myself "What do you really need?", so i went thro the checklist in my brain..licence,rods, tackle, bait..go..Well that was the  bare bones checklist for when your stepping onto Doug's pimped out 36ft Riviera flybridge cruiser to chase albies. I found there are a few things one should add to the list when its a yak. Water is helpful. A pair of longnose pliers to release shakers, their teeth are sharp. And oh yes I do believe not having a net aboard is a no no, not to mention the fact that it is a rather useful tool. And last but not least, that licence you checked, make sure its REALLY on your person, and not in your jeans pocket back in the car.

You will find that each trip gets a little easier. Doing the written checklist thing does help when the only thing swirling in MY BRAIN is FISH!
I put all the REAL NECESSITIES in one area after wash/unloading.....so that when it's time to load again, it will ALL be THERE and accounted for!  (sometimes)

You guys know of ANYONE ever being cited for not having a net?
