Short and sweet, NO fish and only a hit or two all day. Picked up awesome Grass Shrimp at Leonards and was on the water with DeWeasel at 0930. Beautiful to start but within an hour the predicted S/E kicked in and made for tough conditions all day. Called it quits at 1500. Somethings not right out there. Where are the fish???? 0 for 8 at CC and I'm throwing in the towel for awhile. Anybody willing to show me how to fish Clear Lake ??

Tight lines.

You are so due Capt. 0 for 8... you're not too far below the avg. Isn't it 1 hook up out of every 8 trips or something like that... unless your name is EKunz. Or maybe even Allen/otobepalegic or Patrick/holytoledo. Fishing CL is really easy... just need to drive up there and let the minnows do the work for you.

Tight lines,

Freddie

Tough goin' Matt... Sometimes that's just how it goes.

I'd say this time of year the odds are better up in the rivers / sloughs and the shallow flats outside of the mouths.

Nice try, Capt. Matt.  Thanks for the report and pics.  You're increasing your odds, but I know it's frustrating.  You're still getting a lot out of being out there on the water.

i took a drive to my favorite slough(Zuma) and it was brn-cappin, just like the reports said it was going to, so I pulled the plug.
