Went out with my buddy Danny and got skunked. Slow troll NW with WM Apex and another using white hoochie. Nothing happening at various depths: 30, 40, 50 pulls.

Moved in towards the rocks and saw a halibut caught and hooked one surf perch but no salmon.

Birds were periodically diving but not consistant. Better luck next time?

Jeremy - we talked in the parking lot. I didn't have much better luck further north - I went up to Stinson and about halfway out to Dux but turned back because the wind was picking up and was forecast to get stronger.

I hooked up a horse off of Pelican Rock that shook on the second time to the boat, then hooked up as soon as I dropped in again but that one came up a nice ling instead of salmon - then no more hits for the rest of the day despite alot of bait breaking the surface. The boats mostly had zip but a few had 4-5 fish I think mostly from outside the buoy. Next trip I'm going out there fog wind swell or whatever.

I also saw what I'm pretty sure was a shark just below Stinson which at first I thought was a dolphin until I realized it was kicking a tail side to side. That's only my second sighting in over thirty years on the water and both were up that way. First one was right there just outside of Muir.

nice to meet you - Paul
