Got to the water at 730 to a windy lake, and some kind of low, brought wheels but didnt want to deal with wind so I hit the American just below Nimbus, non-yak. Saw a guy(in photo)land and release a BEAUTIFUL 4 or 5 lb steelie, on a fly,  all I got was a big fat sucker on a krokodile, knew it was no steelhead right off the bat but it killed the skunk.

Looks more like a Squaw Fish Ben
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Guitarzan,

You should have come up over Nimbus dam and paddled around Lake Natoma.  I was there from 12-2ish.  Sunny and warm.  Caught squat dragging jigs and split shotting, but my 4-year-old can now use my ABU casting rod (without casting - "Daddy, cast it out again") and she didn't even loose a jig.

The best part was that it must have been "Co-ed bikini day as everyone renting a kayak or on the beach was in one.  Simply spectacular way to spend the afternoon.....

no fishing for me this weekend, but like jrsyboy I was treated to the bikini show, only at home :)  If the wife keeps this up,  its going to be more and more difficult to get out fishing.  Maybe the house with a pool wasn't the best choice after all.  Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll check out Natoma and "look for some bass"  :)
Less Mental than before, Still savage AF tho <3
