Tried the noon high tide @ Alameda today, had the plan to troll a rebel with worm tail and then

bounce Popsicles. I'm getting out of the cove still getting things together on the yak and letting

out line on the troll, pole goes Bendo, "Damm snag",

click the reel and start to turn back toward the Snag,

ZZZZZ, ZZZZZZZzzzz... tried to set the hook,  Gone :smt010

So that's 2 nice fish I've lost in so many outings, at least I'm getting some love, :dontknow:

just not following through. Nothing else the rest of my 2 hrs fishing,

Sharpening all hooks tonight :smt002

It was really nice @ 11:30am, by 1:30 Catamaran weather, and only for Daredevils.....

Don-

Make them sticky and they'll be self hooking hooks... practically. Better luck next time... like you said, at least your getting some action.

Where's the bait?  I tried casting my net at lunch (high tide) for nada.  I did net a bunch of little clear jelly-like round things.  After a bunch of tosses I stopped thinking that I was clearing out a bunch of eggs or something.  Since I didn't have any soldiers I ended up washing the jelly men off the bridge and back into the water with my bucket of water.

So no bait for me and with the full moon I'm planning on sticking around the homestead tomorrow to build some WAF points.

Pleasant surprise to see Paddlefish (Eugene), doing his thing from the fishing pier.
