Hey Dale.  It was a good to meet you at Yorty Creek.  I'm sorry about your truck and kayak.  I hope get them both back soon.  I'll be keeping an eye on Craigslist as well.

Wow, man.  Sorry to hear about your truck/kayak.  Same thing happened to me this past July.  Fortunately for me, my car and kayaks were found in under 48hrs.  I've got my fingers crossed for some simillar luck for you!  Hang in there...

It's the old good news bad news thing. I got a phone this morning from CHP and they located my truck. It was found abandoned along 580 Fwy in Oakland. They ran it out of gas, I had a locking gas cap :smt003 however the camper shell and kayak were missing :smt013 also the license plates were gone. So i'm still looking for my yak.

Dale congrats on getting the truck back.  In the meantime, if you just GOTTA go fishing (and most of us DO) I have a yak I can loan to you....Prowler 15, Big Game, or P13......just let me know if I can help, bro.

sorry to hear that Dale, even thought they found your track... :smt009
That is my biggest fear also cuz I drive around w/ kayak all the time & they're not my kayaks... :smt012
hopefully, you get your kayak back somehow in the mean time we'll keep our eyes on yellow big games.  Do you have pics of it or any particular marking?

Ditto to Allen's offer. I have a Scupper Pro and a Tarpon 160 that you can borrow anytime. Glad you got the truck back!

Thanks for the offers guys, but the wife has a never been used Hobie Outback and if I can talk her into letting me use it. Last time I asked her if I could make sure it worked right she said not before she got to use it. She had rotator cup surgery about eight month ago. So its getting close to when she'll be able to try it out. However if not I'll get in touch with one of you.

Just make sure your wifes' new Hobie OB doesn't get ripped off!
Or you could really be up the big big doo-doo creek "without a pedal",
and major WAF foreclosure! :smt003

Do you have your your stolen yaks' serial number, or other distinguishing marks we can watch for on Craigslist and elsewhere?  It would be great if the "NCKA Mafia" network helped find your yak and get the thieves busted. Do you have any pictures of the yak? :cowboy_cool: :glasses6: :glasses7: :glasses8: :smt117 :smt075 :smt066

        Dear NCKA Mafia
Thanks To Brain at Old Town and Beverly at Cabela's I got the serial # for my Big Game Prowler, it's XKA06898C707. As far as distingishing marks, it has sharpie hash marks on both sides for, 12"-18"-20"-22"-24"-28"-30"-46" and 66". It also 5 Scotty flush mounts and one Scotty surface mount on the console cover. Probably the most unique feature is, I cut out the inside of the console to make a rod pod, ala Trident.
                Thanks Dale
