chuck, thanks for the great company and the variety pack for the freezer. :smt003 to bad the fishing was not any better. I didn't hear of any other fish caught sat. went back Sunday a little earlier, launched at 7:30. Went out to where I left a minnow trap full of recruits sat. and low and behold it was empty except for a 5 inch sucker which suckered zippo after being drifted around by the lip. Making bait was SLOW Sunday, it gave me time to figure out away to keep the secret agents from going AWOL.Details to come later. Did manage some willing minnows, although small. Caught 3 nice rainbows 14 to 16 inches, fat little buggers. Lots of PB's with no hookups, except one boat had 3 6 lbs macs caught with a downrigger, 180' deep w/ rapalas. it was another awesome day though. I will post some pics as soon as I can figure out how to.
adam, maybe we can round up Al and take him fishing. It used to work for Frank S and his bros. Then maybe silver and black might rule again

Been there with the Tahoe skunk a few times myself while Zilla hooked up.
Kz~Next time you want to float the balloon by your wife you need to work on the presentation. It isn't a kayak you want to bring. It's a SLED!
Thanks for the Cabela's pics Chuck. I might be able to postpone a trip there now that my appetite has been whetted. It was nice talking to you on the VHF from PLACERVILLE... :smt044 :smt044

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!  I just feel like driving to Tahoe right now after seeing those pictures!  Man, if only I could convince my wife to let me bring the yak (or even a fishing pole  :smt009) on at least one skiing trip I would be set! :)

Oh, but she is definitely down to check out Cabelas before we start the camping season!  Thanks for the photos of the store!

Hojo,  I've been to Bass pro in Dallas TX. it's HUGE as well.  But I hear that Cabela's is in fact a larger store.  I haven't been to a Cabela's yet, but looking at the pictures from ChuckE the stores seem similar in size, and layout.  Bass Pro has a huge aquarium with a mountain behind it that has stuffed animals all over it.  Mountain lion's stalking BIG bucks up on platforms on the walls etc...
My very first time  I walked into the Bass pro store, I think I shed a little tear!  I knew I only had 2 weeks (Of training) and would be leaving.
I spent an entire Saturday wandering about, what seemd to be hundreds of isles of stuff, taking in everything.  Definetly left some drool on a few bass boats.
I'm not a church going guy by any means, but If Bass pro shops was a church (And it may be for some of us)  sign me up. I'm all over that religion!

Manteca is supposed be getting a Bass pro shop, should be in construction now!  "Danger Will Robinson" As if I don't have enough $$ going out now?  Do I really have to have a BPS this close to me?   NO.  Ah yes, Heck I'm in trouble when that Manteca store opens........

Now I appreciate the scenery and toy store, too, but you've gotta LOVE that picture of Zilla and Jett! Thanks a bunch for sharing your trip, Chuck!
