was working on the O-Crush boat last night and feeling very fortunate and aware that the friends ive made here have been the inspiration for all of this wintertime bassin.  it has been a blast!
but these times of winter tactics are soon to be over and the game will change.
These past few days of consistant sunshine along with a full lake have got folks on the water talking p-word and who can blame them. Soon we will turn our boats around and start fishing like anglers with weapon in hand.
These healthy bruisers will disappear from the point and be replaced with smaller senko shredding males looking for nesting territory and trying to bulk up for the arrival of the ladies. The big fish will be.......... well thats a story for another day.

what a day...

Bite was slow in the morning, but it was great getting to scout some sweet structure with a guy who obviously really knows his local water.  The afternoon bite was hot with plenty of fish actually getting stuck opposed to the morning's tap or short tug for nothing.  My dad and I simultaneously hooked and landed  19"+  bass at one point while his second rod was being hit by a third.

But the real story of the day was the monster Terry scored with almost no time left on the clock.  The infamous "last call" of "one more fish" was made by Hydrospider and shortly after that not one of us could stop smiling.

Adam, there may be more to that karma tip.  I noticed in holy toledos picture that in my kayak was the bud bottle and the wine bottle that had  been floating trash in that area until I came along.

and that's NO BULL!  ......maybe a NCKA clean-up day? I'll pick-up crap off the water and in areas others can't......and I'd feel VERY GOOD&PROUD about my hunted-down quarry, as I unload the VARIOUS HEFFTY BAGS off!  .....for REAL!...I would!
