Met up with ChuckE and paddle out-- there was a horde of other NCKAers out there (zilla, freddie, etc). I set up outside of them.  Missed a few striper looking bites, then about 10:15 or so got that tappity tap tap, pull!  Set the hook- fight on. Dropped the anchor and fought the little guy to the boat- saw chucke paddling toward me, but he was still a long way off- so released him. Probably about 40" or so (questimating from paddle).  hightailed it back to the bouy, and set up. ChuckE set up inside me, and the horde minus one set up just inside him. Sat it out, but that was the only one of the day- off the water about 5min before it became mudfest.

I did bring my camera- but failed to take a pic of the fish.  I did get some pics on the armada anchored up- which i'll post once i upload 'em

Nice work Steve.  Too bad he was a shorty but better than a skunk.

Yup... Steve's shorty was the groups saving grace from the ol' skunk train. The water was very cold and very lumpy. I have a feeling that the water temps might have something to do with the lack of action. I don't know but, nothing was going on with our group as a whole. Myself, all I got was a little striper bite... missed. Hopefully, for all you guys going out tomorrow... you'll have better luck at finding them. Judging by the boards, it was pretty slow for just about everybody out there. I don't think I'll be slaying any dragons anytime soon.

Tight lines,

Freddie
