I've just started using these cool little leashes that casinos hand out with their player cards.  I love the plastic trigger clips.  They're more corrosion resistant than the metal ones I usually buy, and the plastic ones won't scratch up your rods or reels.

One of my pet peeves about metal hardware is rust.  I HATE RUST!!!... so I try to find plastic alternatives that are tough enough for what I need.  These free leashes do the trick.  I'm not sure about the funky green ones though.

The coiled leashes a nice and super stretchy, but they come with flimsy metal crimps and a rings that will rust, so I just removed them and tied them directly to the trigger clip as I did with the purple one in the pic below.

I now have my mom and mother-in-law saving them for me. :smt003

Those are awesome! And free to boot. I guess I'll have to check the casinos around here for 'em too. Pretty soon they'll put 'em in some packaging and be marketing them as rod leashes for $15. :smt005

I wonder where the casinos get these things. It would be nice to order a hundred or so with NCKA logos and give them out during tournaments.  I can't imagine them costing more than a buck or two.

I have some casino contacts. I will ask around and see if I can find a source for them.

Ok, I have details from one source and I am supposed to be getting an email in the morning about another. The one I have details for is the one I posted earlier. The first quote they gave me was for a minimum order of 100. Plain ones, that is no logo, would cost .94 each or $94.00 plus shipping. If we want to get the NCKA logo screened onto them, it would cost us another $50.00. If we want to order just plain ones, he said he might be able to cut down the mininum piece count but the price per piece would probably go up.
